ASLO Japan 2012

Several folks from the CSI Limnology group presented at the summer ASLO conference held at Lake Biwa, Japan. John Downing, the ASLO president, opened the conference by smashing a sake barrel lid with a wooden mallet.  In between sessions we were able to gaze out on to Lake Biwa, the largest freshwater lake in Japan that supplies drinking water to over 15 million people in the region. We also enjoyed experiencing Japanese culture and food!
